Interview with Munieca

1. Show us, your special work are, where you start imagine and create your ideas and your crafts.

 Here are some photos from my little studio. In any photo you can see my room completely, but in the different photos I try to show all room.

2. You has any special ornament, did you make it for you?

In one of the walls I have hung a garland with illustrations mine and some others, than I have received from gift. In front of my main desk (the black one) I have a cork where I keep my original prints, and other small things like postal, some paper cuties , tags, publicity. But also I have some paints and fabric dolls of other artists of my city.

3.  What do you think or you need something special when you are creating?

Like my little studio, my little craft room, is in my house the only thing that I always need is tranquility and music.

4. You has a lucky tools or anything that you can't work without it?

How my studio- craft room- my little work are, is in my house, the only thing that I always need is tranquillity and music.

5. How often, do you clean you craft room?

Never!!!  I clean when the trashcan is completely cover of paper or, when I do not have space in any of my desks.

6. How do you find what you need in all your messy?
My little room is always a messy for  other eyes! But I know where to find everything!

7. Where do you keep all your supplies?  Do you have something special or any order?
 I like the boxes, so almost everything I keep in their. I don't have furniture and/or  shelves for my children. I have a  closet that is closed almost all time, in there I keep, paper, prints, cardboard, envelopes, supplies  and some memories. The supplies that use more are in my black desk always.

Aqui hay varias fotos de mi rinconcito. En ninguna se ve mi habitacion de un solo vistazo, pero en las distintas fotos trato de mostrar todos mis rinconcitos.

2. Tienes adornos, tu los hiciste.

En una de las paredes tengo colgada una guirnalda con ilustraciones mias y alguna otra que he recibido de regalo. Frente a mi escritorio principal (el negro) tengo una pizarra de corcho donde clavo mis dibuujos originales, y demas cositas como postales, algun pendiente de papel, tags, publicidad. Pero tambien tengo algunas pinturitas y muñecos de tela de otros artistas de mi ciudad.

3. En que piensas o que necesitas cuando estas creando algo.

No sabria decir en que pienso, pero si necesito tener mis lapiceros y tarritos con todos mis elementos!! tijeras, trinchetas, goma, lapices, etc, etc... uno de mis hijos tiene la costumbre de pedir prestado mis elementos y no devolverlos :)

4. Tienes algo en especial que utilizas y no puedes presendir de eso para crear. Algo asi como tu amuleto o tu herramienta o material de la suerte.

Como mi rinconcito, mi tallercito, está en mi casa.. lo unico que necesito siempre es tranquilidad y musica.

5. Lo limpias todas las noches cuando terminas de trabajar.

Nunca! Limpio cuando el tacho de basura termina siendo el piso, cuando no tengo espacio en ninguno de mis escritorios.

6. Como le haces para encontrar lo que ocupas entre tanto desorden.
Mi piecita es un desorden para otros ojos! yo sé donde encontrar todo!

7. Donde y como guardas tus materiles. Algun orden en particular.

Me gustan las cajas, asi que la mayoria de las cosas las guardo en ellas. No tengo repisas ni estantes por mis hijos.

Tengo un armario cerrado casi siempre donde guardo, papel, prints, carton, sobres, insumos en general y algunos recuerdos. Los materiales que mas uso están en mi escritorio negro siempre.

My studio is the smallest but brightest room in my whole apartment.

2. You has any special ornament, did you make it for you?

I have tones of stuff: some I have made and some are gifts from my kids, husband and friends; I am a keeper... I always try to find a good place for everything so my place is full of tiny details... I have three fairies: A good friend who passed away last year gave to Aura but they are so beautiful and delicate that I kept them for myself (bad mom!!) The other favorite possession is a Salvador Dalí from the the Unemployed Philosophers Guild, My husband gave me for my Birthday a while ago.

3.  What do you think or you need something special when you are creating?

While I'm making my clothes I don't think to much...lol...I concentrate while I'm listening nice music.

My measurement tape!! I have it since I was in 3rd grade.

5. How often, do you clean you craft room?

Actually...I clean my studio once a week...I'm very messy... Every day I lock the door and that's it!! back to be a mom again.

6. How do you find what you need in all your messy?

I never find anything there!! when I getting frustrated because I can't find something..I know it's cleaning Time!!

Yo vivo coleccionando cosas, algunas las he hecho yo, otras me las han regalado mis hijos, marido o amigos. Yo siempre guardo y trato de encontrar un rinconcito a todo, es por eso que mi apartmamento esta lleno de pequeños detalles. Una de mis adornos preferidos son tres hadas; una amiga que falleció el año pasado se las regaló a Aura. Son tan lindas y delicadas que me las dejé (que mala madre!!) . También tengo un Salvador Dalí de Unemployed Philosophers Guild; mi marido me lo regaló hace un tiempo atrás para mi cumpleaños.

3.  En que piensas o que necesitas cuando estas creando algo.

La verdad es que no pienso mucho cuando estoy trabajando... me concentro encuchando música. Yo trabajo cuando mi hija Aura está en el colegio y mi bebito, Phoenix, duerme la siesta.

4.  Tienes algo en especial que utilizas y no puedes presendir de eso para crear.  Algo asi como tu amuleto o tu herramienta o material de la suerte?

Mi guincha de medir!! la Tengo desde tercer grado...

5.  Cada cuando limpias tu area de trabajo?

La verdad es que mi estudio lo limpio una vez a la semana, soy bien desordenada...todos los días cierro mi puerta y de vuelta a ser una mamá.

6.  Como le haces para encontrar lo que ocupas entre tanto desorden?

Nunca encuentro nada!! cuando me empiezo a frustrar por no encontrar lo que ando buscando, es señal de que tengo que empezar a ordenar...

7.  Donde y como guardas tus materiales?  Algun orden en particular?

Como no tengo mucho espacio mis materiales los guardo en cajas.

Being a super mom and fulfill ills at the same time

I now the football season is over. And just only fulfilling ideas and ills of my youngest son.

The football isn't important to me, but for myi husbands so important and he's super fan, so all my family is now fan, but my youngest son, wants to get dressed just like his dad, and wants something of the Chargers, team of my husband, but also he says that he needs to help to us on the grill, but his Jersey is going to be duty helping us.

So I have an idea,  I buy Chargers team fabric and I can make a apron to him and he is wearing something of Chargers team and it also helps us on the grill, like he wants.

And this it is the result as you see, jiji, and you going to see soon what my oldest son ask me to make for him,  he has a lot imaginations of super hereo, something super different that my other son. But that is going to be in  occasion.

What you think of being a super mom and fulfill ills at the same time?

Ya la se la temporada de football ya se acabo, Pues solo cumpliendo ideas y antojos de mi hijo. 

No es que ami me guste el football, a mi me da igual, pero a mi marido le encanta y es super fan, asi que ya contajio a mis hijos, pero el menor, quiere vestirse igual que su papa, y quiere algo de los Chargers, equipo de mi marido, pero tambien dice que ocupa ayudar a papa en el azador, pero se va a ensuciar su camiseta.

 Asi que me se ocurrio compro tela de su equipo y le hago un mandil para que nos ayude en el azador tambien, como el quiere.

Y este es el resultado como ven ustedes, jiji, y ya veran proximamente lo que me pidio mi hijo el mayor, el y sus fantasias de super hereo, algo super distinto que mi otro hijo.  Pero eso sera en otra ocasion.

Ustedes que piensan de ser una super mama y cumple antojos al mismo tiempo?

 

 

Objectives, Goal, ----------Propositos------------

The first month of the year is over and we all have lots of intentions and goals that we want to achieve this year and years to come.

 

But first we need to have our goals and objectives very clear and truly know what we want, what we have and what we are going to accomplish.

Happy New Year 

 

The first days of the year is when we are enthusiastic about starting and be able to achieve our goals and objectives, but  we should be as excited and happy and it should not only last a few weeks.  What I am trying to say is that we only have 12 months to achieve our goals and we should work on it and never give up because if we have very clearly what we want we can achieve it, furthermore we can continue with those same goals into the next year giving continuity or we can start new ones and this will give us a great feeling that we can handle each year achieve a new goal.

 

We should imprint the same enthusiasm and energy to the Now or tomorrow.  The fact that we might not have started at the beginning of the year does not mean that we can’t  achieve our goals, we just need to get organized, have perseverance, be constant and have will. It means work for ourselves, everyone has a million things to do, the kids, the spouse, the house , 

the business and or work.

 

Here some advise on how to achieve our goals

1.It is very important to have our goals very clear and well defined and specially be realistic. That we know how to achieve them in the short term so we don’t lose interest and leave them half way leaving a feeling of failure and deception making us think we could not do it.

 

2. I have a little notebook where I write down my goals and objectives for the long term. I use this little notebook as an appointment book and write down my everyday goals, always taking into consideration the bigger picture, my long term goals .  Everyday if time allows it I dedicate at least 1hr. to my goals.

Example

6-10 am. School, breakfast, clean, personal stuff , etc. 10-11 check mail, flickr, etc.
11-01  Photoshop my pictures
1-2.30 work on my crafts

2.30-4.30  Make dinner and clean kitchen
4.0-5.30 etc.

And that is how the day goes, I believe that we CAN do it

3. You can have a little chalk board in which you can write your big goals short and long term so that you can always see them and when you are preparing your daily schedule you can read them and start, continue or go forward with them. But always be careful to be very specific in your list so that later on you don’t have problems trying to decipher your abbreviations or drawings.

 

4. Be constant and review past weeks and days in our schedule writing down any idea that comes to mind while reading it , it might help us be better.

5. Be good administrators or our home, our business and our bank account. Because in doing this we would know how much we spend and how much we can invest  and that way we don’t have to go back and calculate our past balance , losing time and money for bad administration.

6. Erase distractions and control interruptions.

7.  Avoid bad habits that prevent you from achieving your goals.

 

8.Always , always know in your mind and soul that we can, that we will achieve and never think that it can’t be done and that we won’t achieve it because we haven’t been able to start, continue or achieve it in days or weeks.

  Ya se acabo el primer mes del año y tenemos muchos propositos y anhelos que alcanzar este año y los que siguen.

Pero primero tenemos que tener muy enclaro nuestras metas y lo que en verdad deseamos, tenemos y vamos a cumplir.

Los primeros dias del año estamos entusiasmados por empezar y poder hacer nuestras metas o propositos.  Pero todo el año debemos de estar asi de entusiasmados y felices por cumplirlo y que no solamente dure unas cuantas semanas. Ha esto me refiero que tenemos solamente 12 meses para cumplir nuestras metas y debemos de ponernos a trabajar y nunca rendirnos ya que si tenemos muy enclaro lo que deseamos lo lograremos y para el proximo año continuar nuestras metas si se puede y estas tienen continuidad o empezar unas nuevas y con esto tendremos un muy sabor de boca que si logramos y podremos cada año con una nueva meta.

Ahorita, manana debemos de ponerle igual de entusiasmo y ganas, el hecho de que no alcanzamos empezar los primeros dias del año, no quiere decir que no lo logremos hacer solamente hay que saber organizarnos, ser perseverantes, ser constantes y muchisima fuerza de voluntad. Es el trabajar para uno mismo, sabemos que toda las personas tenemos un millon de cosas por hacer, los hijos, el marido, la casa, nosotras mismas, nuestro negocio y/o trabajo.

Aqui unos consejos para poder lograr nuestras metas:

1,  Ahora creo que es super importante ponernos metas bien claras y definidas y sobre todo realistas. Que sepamos cumplirlas a corto plazo, para que no nos desesperemos y no las dejemos a medio camino y nos sintamos desepcionadas y decirnos que no pudimos.

    

2.  Yo tengo una libretita en donde pongo mis metas y propositos a largo plazo, esta libretita la ponga como agenda, y pongo las metas diarias, considerando mis metas principales, grandas y a largo plazo. De perdida le didico 1hr. de mis metas por lo menos si mi tiempo y dia no es suficiente, por ejemplo de:

6-10 am. escuela, desayunos, limpiar, etc. cosas personales

10-11 revisar correo, flickr, etc.

11-01 hacer photoshop a mis fotos

1-2.30 ponerme a hacer mis manualidades

2.30-4.30 hacer comida y limpiar cocina

4.0-5.30 etc.

Y asi me voy creo que si se puede organizarnos y teniendo en cuenta de todo un poco.
 
3.  Puedes tener un pequeno pizarron en el cual puedes escribir tus grandes metas y corto y largo plazo para que siempre las leas y cuando estes agendando tu dia, las puedas leer y empezar, continuar o avanzar en ellas.  Pero ten encuntea en tener muy espcifica tu lista para que no se te olvide que querias decir con esas abreviaciones o dibujos.

4.  Ser constantes y ver y revisar nuestra agenda en los dias y semanas pasadas y anotar cualquier idea que se nos venga a la cabeza, tal vez, nos sirva para que seamos mejores.

5.  Llevar una buena administracion en  nuestro hogar, en nuestro  negocio y en nuestro banco.  Ya que con esto sabremos cuanto tenemos, cuanto gastamos y cuanto podemos seguir invirtiendo y no tengamos que sumar y restar meses que ya pasaron y nos quitaran tiempo y tal vez dinero por la mala administracion.

6.  Borra aquellas distracciones y controla las interrupciones.

7.  Evita los malos habitos que hacen que no logres tus mestas.

8.  Siempre, siempre tener en nuestra cabeza y alma que si podemos. que si lo vamos a cumplir y nunca pensar que no se puede y no lo lograremos por que no lo haz podido empezar, continuar o lograr en varios dias o semanas.

Glue gun and sticks
Knife
Wire cutters

Pinzas para alambre

1.  Use a serrated knife to cut floral foam to fit inside the Sleigh.

1.  Corta el foam con el cuchillo, segun tamano de trineo teniendo en cuenta donde estara colocado el Santa.

2.  With the glue gun secure the foam in the Sleigh.

2.  Con la pistola pega el foam, donde estara colocado.

3.   Add some moss at the foam.Secure moss to the foam with floral pins or hot glue.  Spray the moss slightly with water and press down with fingers, if desired, to achieve a snug fit.

3.  Cubre el foam con el musgo. Moja un poco el musgo antes de colocarlo y aseguralo con unos alfileros florales o goma caliente.

4.  Put Santa and secure with the hot gun or floral wire.

4.  Coloca el Santa (pegandolo si tu lo deseas o aseguralo con alambre en el foam).

5.  Cut pine garland into single stems, insert on foam, secure with glue, cover the the possible the foam.

5.  Corta en tiras cortas la girnalda de pino y colocalas en el foam, aseguralas con goma caliente, trata de cubrir lo mas posible todo el arreglo, para que no se logre ver el foam, dandole forma al arreglo.

6.  Cut Poinsettia bushes into single stems, insert and secure with glue.

6.  Corta las flores del ramo de Noche Buenas y colocalas dandole forma al arreglo.

7.  Make a bowl with the ribbon, add on the back a pice of the poinsettia wire, secure with glue and insert and secure with glue.

7.  Haz un mono con el listo que escojiste para el arreglo, en la parte de atras pega un trozo del alambre de las flores y coloca el mono en el arreglo.

8.  Insert the berry's and the Christmas ornaments, try to cover the most possible the arrangement, try to put all ornaments, berry's, poinsettias in different high.

8.  Coloca ahora las berry's  y los adornos Navidenos, rellenando todo el arreglo para que no se mieren huecos en el.  Trata de que esten de diferentes tamanos dandole forma y elegancia a este.

9.  It's ready to decorate your home or why not to give it like a gift.

9.  Listo para colocarse en donde decorara aquel espacio de tu casa o por que no es un buen regalo Navideno.

How to make a Coaster/ Como hacer un portavasos

 

 

1. Cut the fabric 5"X5".
    Corta la tela 5X5 pulgadas.

 
2. Cut the a little piece of fabric for decorations. (to create any fun design).
    Corta pequenas piezas de tela para formar alguna figura o algun diseno divertido.

3. Sew the little pieces on the fabric and the buttons for the eyes.
    Cose las pequenas piezas a la tela del portavasos y peque los botones para formar los ojos.

4. Sew the Rick-Rack to decorate.
    Cose el galon o liston para terminar de decorar. 

5. Cut a 5"X5" of polyester batting for quilting,

    Corta una pieza 5X5 pulgadas de guata.

6. Sew two pieces (back and front) and the batting and made a hem.
    Cose la bastilla uniendo la pieza trasera, frontal y la guate entre si.

7. Sew a bias around the hem.
    Cose por ultimo bies alrededor, y, 

8. It's ready.
    Esta listo
