This is the little corner where I like
to sit when I have time. I sit down with my notebook to draw or write down ideas that I have about things I want to make
2. Do you have any ornaments? Did you
make
them?
This little corner is surrounded by
books and on the book shelves there are some ornaments, the majority of
which are from different trips.
3. What do you think about or what do
you
need when you are creating something?
When I am sewing creating something I am
not thinking about anything else but the task at hand, that is why I
find it so relaxing. It is like practicing yoga, you stop planning and
thinking about everything you need to do to just think about what you
are doing..
I need just the basic stuff, scissors,
sewing machine and time!!
4. You has a
lucky tools or anything that you can't work without it?
Not really there is nothing I consider
my lucky charm. In regards to material when I am making patterns I like
using this particular type of acetate that is graduated and that allows
me to draw really easily and also it is really great to use because it
is harder than paper and it is really easy to trace the pattern on the
fabric and it lasts a long time.
5. Do you clean every night when you
finish
your work?
Not at all! I don’t ever have time to
finish one project from start to finish, so I leave things in the same
place until I come back to continue or finish later.
6. How do you find what you need
in all your messy?
Even if I am physically disorganized, I
am mentally organized. I usually have a pretty good idea of where
everything is.
7. Where do you keep all your
supplies? Do you have something special
or any order?
I have some materials in clear plastic
boxes like the ribbons, plastic eyes, pompoms, etc. when I need one I
bring the box to my desk so I can have easy access to it.
The fabrics I keep inside the closet and
I organize them by color.
8. Something else do you like to share with us?
I don’t have a lucky charm but I do have
a little boy that is my inspiration and motivation. I started making
stuffed animals over 20 years ago but since my son was born, my
creations are more personal. Most of the time they ‘created’ are
inspired by him and he fells very special that Mommy makes him so many
special things just for him.
1. Muestranos tu lugar donde te pones a imaginar y crear.
Este es el pequeno Rincon donde me
siento cuando tengo tiempo. Me siento con mi cuaderno a dibujar o
escribir ideas que tengo sobre cosas que quiero hacer.
2. Tines adornos, tu los hiciste
Este Rincon esta rodeado de libros y en
los libreros hay algunos adornos, la mayoria son recuerdos de viajes.
3. En que piensas o que necesitas cuando
estas creando algo.
Cuando estoy cosiendo no pienso en nada
mas que en lo que estoy hacienda, eso es lo que lo hace tan relajante,
pore se espacio de tiempo dejo de planear. Es como practicar yoga, dejas
de pensar en todo lo que hay que hacer y te enfocas en lo que estas
hacienda.
Solo necesito lo basico, mi maquina de
coser, Tijeras y lo mas importante…tiempo!
4. Tienes algo en especial que utilizas y
no puedes presendir de eso para crear. Algo asi como tu amuleto o tu
herramienta o material de la suerte.
No, no tengo ningun amuleto o
herramienta que me de suerte. En cuanto a material cuando estoy hacienda
‘patrones’ me gusta usar un tipo de acetate con graduacion que me
permite dibujar facilmente , ademas como es mas duro que el papel me
facilita el trazo sobre la tela y dura mucho tiempo.
5. Lo limpias todas las noches cuando
terminas de trabajar.
Para nada! Nunca tengo tiempo de
terminar una cosa el mismo dia que empiezo asi es que dejo todo tal y
como esta para regresar a terminar en otro momento.
6. Como le haces para encontrar lo que
ocupas entre tanto desorden.
Aun y cuando soy desordenada siempre he
podido tener un buen orden mental, normalmente tengo muy Buena idea de
donde pongo cada cosa.
7. Donde y como guardas tus materiles.
Algun orden en particular.
Guardo algunos materials en cajas de
plastico, como los listones, ojos de plastico y pompones.
Las telas las guardo en el closet
ordenadas por color (foto)
8. Algo mas que nos quieras contrar
Si bien no tengo un amuleto de la
suerte, pero si tengo un pequeno que es mi inspiracion y quien me
motiva. Empece a hacer munecos hace mas de 20
anos, pero desde que nacio mi hijo mis creaciones son mas personales,
son casi siempre teniendolo como insipiracion, la mayoria de las cosas
que hago actualmente son para el, y por supuesto el se siente muy
alagado de que su mama le haga tantas cosas que son especiales para el.
